Frisco, Colorado

Frisco, Colorado is a historic mining town, but today it is known for being in the heart of ski country with 6 major ski resorts in the area. Frisco is conveniently located in Summit County, Colorado and is only about 1 1/2 hour drive from Denver, and right off of I-70. Many vacationers choose to stay in Frisco, because they can conveniently access several ski resorts on one vacation. With miles of hiking and biking trails, nearby Lake Dillon, and beautiful towering mountains all around, Frisco is a spectacular destination.

Ski Areas Nearby
Staying in Frisco, allows you to access several ski resorts on one vacation. Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper Mountain are all within 20 minutes drive. Arapahoe Basin, Loveland, and Vail can all be accessed in about 30 minutes. Another 15 minutes past Vail and you can make it to Beaver Creek. With 6 world class ski resorts nearby, and quick access to I-70, Frisco is known for its vacation lodging.

Recreation and Attractions
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the area is full of year round activities. There are mountain bike rentals in town, boat rentals at nearby Dillon Reservoir, snowmobile rentals, Nordic skiing, rafting, fishing, and miles of hiking and bike trails.
  • Peninsula Recreation Area - Area features hiking trails along Dillon Reservoir, picnic areas, campgrounds,  a disc golf course, ball fields, a sledding area, and a Nordic center.
  • Ten Mile Recreation Pathway - These 50 miles of paved pathway connects Vail, Frisco, Breckenridge, and Dillon! This winding pathway can be used by bikers, hikers, and inline skaters. Bring your Bike, or rent one in town. Enjoy an exhilarating ride down Vail Pass, or take a ride to Breckenridge to grab lunch.
  • Frisco Bay Marina - Rent a boat or throw yours on beautiful Dillon Reservoir at the nearby marina. This 3300 acre lake has about 25 miles of pine forested shoreline. Try your luck at trout fishing, or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery on a pontoon boat. You may also take sailing lessons, rent a canoe, or take a scenic tour of the lake.
  • Frisco Nordic Center - One of the best Nordic centers in Colorado with over 46 kilometers of trails. Rentals and Lessons are available.
  • Historic Park and Museum - Experience Frisco in the 1880's! There are 8 historic restored log buildings right on main street.
  • Main Street - Most of the town's restaurants, shopping, bars, and brew pubs are located on main street in close proximity to each other. Spend a day shopping and dining main street while you are in town.
